1962 PORTOLA RESIDENCE / PRIMARY SUITE REDESIGN

The project is a primary bedroom and bathroom redesign within a single-family residence built in 1962, encompassing approximately 3,000 square feet. The home is located in San Francisco’s Portola neighborhood, in the southeastern part of the city, near the border of the Excelsior District and just west of Visitacion Valley and Bayview.

The home is full of character and history, with many wonderful original features and details left by my client’s father. Our goal was to honor that legacy while thoughtfully reimagining the primary suite to better support the family’s current lifestyle, improve functionality, and create a beautiful, comfortable retreat that respects the home’s original character.
