CHIEF HOME DESIGN HAD THE PRIVILEGE TO WORK WITH THE RESTAURANT BARCHA TO REDESIGN, REMODEL , AND UPDATE THE SPACE. FOLLOWING YOU WILL FIND OUR DESIGN WORK AND A FEW FINISHED PICTURES. FOLLOW US ON OUR JOURNEY AS WE EXECUTED THIS PROJECT.

OUR DESIGN WORK

BEFORE WE BEGAN WE INHERITED THE EXISTING AMBIANCE

We designed an exclusive Middle Eastern tile for the restaurant. The tile was a special order from Vietnam. The tiles we used for the polls picked up the coral colors of our main tile. We used the coral tile to cover the two large polls in the restaurant. The countertops were replaced with Cemento quartz. A durable countertop that is chip resistant.

THE CORAL TILE COVERING ON THE POLLS

WE TOOK ADVANTAGE OF THE LARGE UNUSED SPACE IN THE FRONT OF THE RESTAURANT. THE ADDITION OF AN ISLAND AND A SEATED WINDOW BAR CREATED SPACE FOR PUBLIC AND PRIVATE EVENTS. THE SPACE CAN BE RESERVED FOR PRIVATE PARTIES. IT IS OFTEN USED FOR HAPPY HOUR.

BY REPLACING ONE BOOTH WE ALLOWED BARCHA TO INCREASE ITS REVENUE OVERALL.

THE SPICE MARKET: THE UNIQUE SPICES AND FLAVORS USED BY THE CHEF IN THE RESTAURANT CAN NOW BE PURCHASED FROM THE SPICE BAR.

THE MURAL PAINTED INSIDE OF THE RESTAURANT DEPICTS THE JOURNEY OF KAIS BOUZIDI’S, OWNER, SAN FRANCISCO RESTAURANT SUCCESS. IF YOU LOOK CLOSE ENOUGH YOU WILL SEE HIS ORIGIN FROM PARIS TO SAN FRANCISCO, HIS FAMILY, HIS DOG, AND IMPORTANT MILESTONES. Kais Originated in Paris France and grew up in a family of restaurateurs and began his career in the restaurant industry in Paris, France.  After spending his formative years learning the inner workings of the family business from his father, Bouzidi moved from Paris to San Francisco at the age of 21.  Bouzidi studied the San Francisco market, the location and the local food culture extensively, building the concept of what would ultimately become Sens Restaurant in October of 2007.

Looking to establish a second location with a similar atmosphere and menu, but with a modern twist, Bouzidi has successfully launched Barcha, in the 425 Market Street Building and located at 28 Fremont. Having the perfect location to satisfy corporate clientele as well as locals and tourists alike, this Mediterranean bistro with Parisian influences offers delicious fair and a chic, yet welcoming “smart casual” ambiance.
